Yeah, it's exactly two weeks from now, starting on 9/24 till 9/27. Anybody looking forward to this event as much as I am? Especially with Project Needlemouse and all...
I'm looking forward to this primarily because of any potentially new Sonic/Klonoa stuff. And regardless of whether they have to do with a Sonic & Klonoa crossover or not, I still wanna know what that secret Sonic collab is (if it isn't Mario & Sonic already, that is) and what exactly is the Klonoa producer up to with his alleged top-secret project and all.
That secret Sonic collab might also be SEGA vs Capcom, btw, as was rumored to show up last year. So you may wanna add that to the list, folks.
Oh yeah, expect another Crush 40 performance as well, as they closed off with last year.
Well...if I end up to be wrong all this time about a Sonic/Klonoa crossover, then I can promise you this. I'll indefinitely shut up about there being similarities between them both, as such comparisons have caused me a lot of problems for a year now. Yeah, 'cause honestly, I'm getting really tired of being called a fanboy by other fanboys for such comparisons, as well as them claiming that my comparisons are "flimsy" and that I'm grasping for straws... So, yeah.
"But what if you're right all this time? What if that collab/project DOES end up to be a Sonic & Klonoa crossover?" you ask.
Well, not only it'll be a huge slap in the face to those who doubted it and were against me in the arguments, but it'll be a total shock to the Net as well, and especially to the Sonic fanbase, who a good majority of them still don't know who Klonoa is... Well, obviously, some of them will go gaga over the great appeal that is Klonoa, and will mark a new dawn for both the Sonic and Klonoa fandoms.
I mean, just search for "Sonic" here on DA. Almost hundreds and hundreds of new Sonic fanart are uploaded every day... Now imagine a similar increase for Klonoa fanart when they know of him. Maybe not exactly hundreds and hundreds, but there would still be a significant increase over the 5-10 pieces of Klonoa related artwork uploaded every day.
As I've learned recently, some people fear that by doing a crossover with Sonic or adapting more Sonic-like characteristics, the Klonoa franchise would become either nothing but a "zombie" franchise, in which it would support Sonic only, or a "complete Sonic ripoff." ...not really.
Even if those things DO happen (which aren't necessarily bad things, IMHO), Namco can always go back to the "pre-Sonic" era and pump out another traditional Klonoa title to please their old fanbase, just as SEGA's trying to do now with Project Needlemouse. Hell, with Klonoa's increased popularity thanks to Sonic, the old-style games just might get the long-wanted acclaim from the general populace they have sought for so long...
Now...yes, I do realize that it may create a gigantic rift in the Klonoa fandom by doing this way, much like the hugely split Sonic fanbase... But frankly, that's what happens to all fanbases when they last as long as Sonic and make a lot of changes in order to stay fresh. For example, I'm hearing from a long-time friend of mine that the Transformers fanbase is just as split. Some people say that things should've stayed the same way as the old 80s cartoon(s), while most newer fans prefer the current Transformers era and disregard the past.
And don't think its immune to time either; the Care Bears fandom is EXACTLY the same way as well. Again, people like the old 80s cartoons and movies better than the current "AiCaL" stuff, while newer fans like "AiCaL" better than the past.
...I think I've made my point here. Hm.
So yeah, I'll shut up if I'm wrong, and I'll be pitying those who doubted it in the first place.
Well then, all shall be revealed in two weeks. So...stay tuned.

[link]What I wish to see in artwork form:-Here's an interesting idea: Super Klonoa helping Super Sonic on any one of his final battles in the Sonic games.
-Super Klonoa in his blue outfit, to prove that I don't mind him being clothed if he ever does appear in a Klonoa game. Can be the Eggmanland scene from my Sonic & Klonoa alt-verse fic, or otherwise... One of the reasons why I prefer him clothesless/naked, however, is because of more golden yellow fur. He's golden all over, in other words.
-Sonic and Klonoa (clothed) posing with Chip and Huepow.
-Clothes switcheroo! Sonic wearing Klonoa's blue clothes, gloves/shoes, and hat, while Klonoa wears Sonic's gloves/shoes. (Collar optional.)
